Cybersecurity Awareness Month
What is Cybersecurity Awareness Month?
Cybersecurity Awareness Month is a nationwide program to raise awareness about digital security and the basics of cybersecurity. The program encourages everyone to do their part in creating a safer digital environment for living, learning, and working. Now in its 21st year, Cybersecurity Awareness Month is a collaboration between the National Cybersecurity Alliance and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA).
While news reports of hackers and massive data breaches can make cybersecurity seem out of reach to regular people, there are simple steps everyone can take to keep their data protected. Cybersecurity Awareness Month educates people on these small changes that can have a significant impact.
What’s new in 2024?
The theme of this year’s program is “Secure Our World.” Trinity College joins this campaign with its slogan, #SecureTheNest. Our campaign encourages Trinity students, faculty, and staff to implement four simple actions during October to increase online security in their everyday routines.
