The classroom extended far beyond campus for students who took part in Trinity College’s Community Learning experiences during the fall 2019 semester. The Community Action Gateway and the Community Learning research fellows program are just two of the opportunities available that connect students to the city of Hartford.

Transgender Athlete Speaks at Trinity College for Transgender Awareness Week

Trinity celebrated National Transgender Awareness Week with a talk by Chris Mosier, the first transgender athlete to make a men’s U.S. National Team (in triathlon), the first transgender athlete in ESPN The Magazine’s Body Issue, and the first transgender athlete sponsored by Nike.

Trinity College Hosts Connecticut Forum’s ‘Conversation with Spike Lee’

Trinity College was the host and lead sponsor of “A Conversation with Spike Lee,” presented by the Connecticut Forum at the Bushnell on November 9. President Joanne Berger-Sweeney welcomed the audience, which included Trinity students, alumni, faculty, staff, and administrators, many of whom had the chance to meet Lee backstage after the event.
