Student Technology Assistants

The Student Technology Assistant (STA) Program at Trinity College is designed to foster the integration of a variety of instructional technology tools and services into courses in support of the teaching and learning mission of the college. Faculty and students can obtain instructional support on a broad range of issues via this program.

Meet the STAs

STA students work with faculty members and students on topics such as:

  • Oculus Rift VR support
  • 3d printing
  • Digital Video and audio production including iMovie, Garageband and Audacity
  • Moodle support
  • Powerpoint, Keynote and other presentation tools
  • Poster design
  • WordPress
  • Image editing using Photoshop
  • Digitization of VHS tapes, slides and overhead transparencies
  • and much more

The Student Technology Assistants are normally located in the Center for Educational Technology (LITC 105). They provide in-person assistance, as well as virtual help over Zoom.

STA desk hours (in-person and virtual support)

Regular semester hours: Monday – Friday, 9 am to 5 pm
Summer hours (Tuesday, May 31 – Friday, August 12): Monday – Thursday 9 – 5 pm , Friday 9 – noon. Remote only.
