Alumni Friends’ Gift Creates New Fund to Support Women’s Athletics Equity

A tight-knit group of friends—all of whom graduated in the 1990s, met their spouses at Trinity, and participated on Bantam sports teams—recently got together to make a joint leadership gift establishing a new fund at Trinity dedicated to supporting equity in women’s athletics.

Shawn Olstein ’22 Receives Fulbright Award to Teach English in Taiwan

Recent Trinity College graduate Shawn Olstein ’22 will spend the next year teaching English to students in Taiwan through the Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship program. Olstein said that Trinity helped position him to receive this honor from Fulbright. “If you want to go on to a graduate degree or get a fellowship, Trinity is a great place to go,” he said.

New Milestones Reached at Reunion Weekend 2022

Trinity College’s Reunion Weekend celebration June 9–12 was marked with multiple milestones. Among the many highlights, members of the Class of 2020 returned for their long-awaited, in-person Commencement ceremony, which had been delayed due to the pandemic. Additionally, due in part to the collective generosity and efforts of returning alumni, Trinity surpassed the halfway mark of an overall $500 million fundraising campaign goal.

‘The Early Birds’ Kick Off Trinity’s Celebration of 50th Anniversary of Title IX

This year, Trinity College and educational institutions across the country are celebrating the 50th anniversary of Title IX. Trinity’s first event in honor of this occasion was a conversation with some groundbreaking female Bantams who were critical to the evolution and expansion of women’s athletics at the college.
