The Hartford Medical Society’s historical collection of books, journals, and artifacts dating back to the 1500s has returned to the Watkinson Library at Trinity College, having previously been housed there from 1893 to 1898. The collection includes more than 30,000 volumes, 100 archival collections, and 550 medical instruments.
Trinity’s Center for Caribbean Studies helped to organize the raising of the flags of Central American countries at the Connecticut State Capitol in Hartford. This was part of the college’s larger efforts to raise awareness of Central American culture, history, and immigrant experiences.
Recent Trinity College graduate Shawn Olstein ’22 will spend the next year teaching English to students in Taiwan through the Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship program. Olstein said that Trinity helped position him to receive this honor from Fulbright. “If you want to go on to a graduate degree or get a fellowship, Trinity is a great place to go,” he said.
Trinity College has named the students who have earned Faculty Honors for the spring 2022 semester.
