Four New Trustees Appointed to Trinity College Board of Trustees; New Chair Starts Term

President Joanne Berger-Sweeney has announced the appointment of four new trustees to the Trinity College Board of Trustees. They are: LaTanya Langley ’97, H’17; Jamie Tracey Szal ’06; William G. Thomas III ’86, P’20; and James Yu ’87. In addition, Lisa Bisaccia ’78 took over as chair of the board. They began their terms on July 1, 2021.

Trinity Community Celebrates the Enrollment of the Class of 2025

During the second admissions cycle to be greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, Trinity College has enrolled 553 outstanding students as its Class of 2025. “Our choices were driven by the strength of character the students demonstrated, along with their academic motivation and preparedness,” said Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid Adrienne Oddi. “We have an amazing group of Bantams coming.”

‘This is Your Moment to Shine’: Trinity College Celebrates Class of 2021 at 195th Commencement

“The pandemic has taught us that we can’t go back to the way things were, nor should we want to. You are too good, too smart, and too wise to go back to normal. You will make a future that is better than normal,” Hartford HealthCare President and CEO Jeffrey A. Flaks said to the graduates of the Trinity College Class of 2021 during his Commencement address. “There is, as they say, a light at the end of this long tunnel. That light is you. This is your moment to shine.”

Esther Appiah ’21 Awarded Fulbright Grant to Teach English in Côte d’Ivoire

International Studies major and Religious Studies minor Esther Appiah ’21 will travel to Côte d'Ivoire in January 2022 through the Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) program. The ETA program places Fulbright grant recipients in classrooms in foreign countries to provide assistance to local English teachers and serve as cultural ambassadors for the United States.
