This display case is located near the Gates Quad (Level A) entrance of Raether Library, next to the Trinity College Bloomberg Lab.

New Accession: Crew Gear & Memorabilia from the Alden R. Gordon Papers, Curated by Eric Stoykovich, College Archivist and Manuscripts Librarian

Alden R. Gordon, Paul E. Raether Distinguished Professor of Fine Arts, Emeritus, was a student at Trinity College from 1965 – 1969. He joined the Trinity Faculty in 1978, and remained until his retirement in spring 2025. Following his retirement, Dr. Gordon donated his collection of papers and memorabilia related to his time at Trinity to the Watkinson Library.

All materials – except the megaphone – are new acquisitions by Watkinson Library and the Trinity College Archives. They will be processed eventually and available for research as part of the Alden Rand Gordon Papers. The Trinity College Archives collects faculty and personal papers of those who have devoted a significant portion of their teaching careers at Trinity.
