Sunday, March 8, 2020
4:00 p.m. Trinity College Chapel
For most of the history of The Chapel Singers’, a group that is nearly as old as Trinity College itself, membership included undergraduate men only. In fact, any performances requiring soprano voices necessitated a collaboration with children’s or women’s choirs from the region. The Chapel Singers welcomed their first soprano members in 1969, when Trinity opened its doors to women students. In recognition of this significant anniversary, The Chapel Singers offer a concert of music by women composers, including works by Rebecca Clarke, Lili Boulanger, Rosephanye Powell, Kerry Andrew, and Dobrinka Tabakova.
