Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,
As we continue on our mission to educate every campus member on specific ways to prevent and eliminate sexual violence, relationship violence, stalking, and sexual harassment on campus, it is equally vital that each of us is knowledgeable about the resources, rights, and options available to victims and survivors.
Trinity has worked deliberately to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for victims and survivors of sexual misconduct to come forward. Your Rights–Your Options provides valuable information on how you can assist our efforts to foster a supportive and responsive community for victims and survivors. It provides prevention tips and links to important on- and off-campus resources, details the range of options for reporting incidents, and identifies trained staff, faculty, and administrators who can provide support, guidance, counseling, accommodations, medical assistance, and referrals.
If you or someone you know is victimized, we strongly encourage you to use one or more of the available resources so that we may offer the help and assistance needed. Additionally, filing a complaint with the College or reporting an incident to the Hartford Police Department will provide a path to investigating and resolving the matter.
This booklet will be available on the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), Campus Safety, Human Resources, and Women & Gender Resource Action Center (WGRAC) Web sites. It also is available using the link below.
Thank you in advance for reading and sharing this information, encouraging victims to come forward, offering understanding and support to victims and survivors, and committing yourself to being an active bystander who, along with others in the Trinity College community, will help to make the campus safe and free of sexual misconduct.
