Program Dates (Trinity in Vienna is a Spring Only Program):

  • Spring 2024: February 1st – June 28th, 2024

Program Size:

Trinity in Vienna is designed as a small and immersive program which accepts between 6-9 students each spring.

Eligibility:

  • OPEN TO: Both Trinity and visiting students who are sophomores or juniors in good academic​ and social standing at their home institution.
  • GPA: 2.8
  • LANGUAGE PRE-REQ: None

Immigration Requirements:

All students are required to have a valid passport, with an expiration date 6 months beyond their return date. It is recommend students have their valid passport in hand when they apply to the program.

All students (except EU citizens) are required to apply for an Austrian Visa. The Office of Study Away provides students with instructions and guidance through the visa process. Students apply for their visa in November or December.

  • The Austrian Government requires student provide 3 months of bank statements with sufficient funding for the semester in Vienna. It is recommend each bank statement shows rough $5,500. Students who are unable to meet this requirement should contact the OSA early to explore alternate financial documentation.

Academics

Trinity in Vienna offers students the opportunity to take a wide variety of courses at the historical University of Vienna, along with a core course taught by Trinity in Vienna On-Site Director and optional Philosophy course taught by Erik Vogt, Gwendolyn Miles Smith Professor of Philosophy at Trinity College.
