As a proud member of the Hillel International network, Trinity Hillel is a home away from home for Jewish students on campus. Students make life-long friends while exploring their Jewish identities and developing leadership skills.

About Trinity Hillel

Trinity’s Zachs Hillel House provides a warm and welcoming space for students to gather and participate in cultural, religious, educational, and social programming. Our events are open to all members of the campus community regardless of religious background.

A few highlights of Trinity Hillel’s offerings:

  • Weekly Shabbat dinners with delicious food, often in collaboration with other student groups on campus
  • Creative holiday celebrations and observances
  • Service-learning programs with local Hartford organizations
  • Immersive experiences including trips to Israel and alternative spring break trips
  • Jewish learning and community building opportunities including the Jewish Learning Fellowship and Kol Israel – students receive stipends for participation
  • Kosher dining at the Kassow Hillel Kosher Eatery in Mather Hall.
  • Baking and cooking classes in Hillel’s kosher kitchen
  • Hillel Scholarship of $20,000 per year awarded to an incoming first year who demonstrates academic excellence and commitment to the Jewish community
