Inauguration Weekend featured academic symposia, the formal installation ceremony, and a luncheon for members of the Trinity community and honored guests. The celebration coincided with Fall Weekend, which brings together Homecoming and Family Weekend in a spirited showcase of campus life.

The inauguration of Daniel G. Lugo as Trinity College’s 23rd president was an opportunity for the Trinity community to celebrate the enduring power of the liberal arts through a set of cross-disciplinary conversations and a unique performance.
Daniel G. Lugo began his service as Trinity College’s 23rd president on July 1, 2025. He comes to Trinity after serving as president of Queens University of Charlotte since 2019 and is driven by a lifelong passion for the mission of higher education and has centered his career on leadership that enhances institutions and their profiles.
