Community Learning Research Fellows Partner with Hartford Organizations on Real-World Issues

Trinity students in the Community Learning Research Fellows program partner each year with local organizations on research work that goes beyond the classroom. Jane Dunbar ’23 and Sulemaan Khalid ’23 worked with Hartford Land Bank, a non-profit that stewards the rehabilitation of vacant, abandoned, tax-delinquent, or distressed properties in the city.

Following Political Science Course, Trinity Student Publishes Research on Authoritarianism and Military Support

Trinity College student Darya (Dasha) Maliauskaya ’22 recently published a paper in the Inquiries Journal about authoritarian leaders and military support. Based on a midterm assignment from the political science course, “Authoritarianism,” the research explores how autocrats use power, coercion, and loyalty to influence the military into supporting the regime during mass uprisings.

Trinity College Students Selected as 2022 Projects for Peace Grantees

Two new proposals by Trinity College students have been selected to receive Projects for Peace grants to fund their initiatives around the world. An additional student project that was funded in 2020 but delayed by the pandemic also will be implemented this summer.
