CUGS serves as a hub for student and faculty research and engagement on urban and global topics.
Each year, CUGS administers research and engagement grants for students to explore the urban and global outside of the classroom.
CUGS coordinates the application process for two postgraduate fellowship opportunities: the James C. Gaither Junior Fellows program through the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and the Schwarzman Scholars program.

CUGS fosters collaborative research opportunities that have involved Trinity faculty and the visiting scholars at CUGS since its inception in 2007.
Student Research and Publications
CUGS has invited and included more than 20 Trinity students in a variety of research and writing projects since 2008.
