The Center for Urban and Global Studies (CUGS) is a research and teaching center that aims to advance urban and global education at Trinity on campus, in Hartford, and across the world.
CUGS aims to enhance Trinity’s distinct position and reputation as a leading urban liberal arts college with a wide global reach. Read more about how we’re working to achieve that goal.
CUGS is home to several academic programs, including the urban studies major and minor, the Cities Gateway Program, the minor in urban China studies, and a graduate certificate in urban planning.
CUGS supports urban and global research and engagement for Trinity’s students and faculty through grants, study away programs, and collaborative faculty research and publications.
The events hosted by the Center for Urban and Global Studies convene Trinity students, Trinity faculty, and faculty from around the region and world to explore timely urban and global topics.
