Who would one get in touch with for accommodations due to a learning difference?

Lori Clapis runs the Student Accessibility Resource Center and would be the best person to contact. Click here to learn more about accommodations at Trinity.

How do I get placed in a First Year Seminar?

Students will receive a list of all available First Year Seminars in the early summer, as well as course descriptions for each seminar. Students are asked to rank their top five choices. Students are then assigned to one of those seminars based on availability and housing. You will be notified of your first year seminar by early August.

How do First Year Seminars relate to housing?

Housing is assigned based on the First Year Seminar in which you are enrolled. You will live in the same residence hall as the students in your First Year Seminar. They will not necessarily be your roommate or even on the same floor, but you will be in the same building and have access to the same common spaces.

Can you be a part of more than one First Year Seminar or Gateway program?

No, you can only enroll in one first year seminar or gateway program. More information on First-Year Seminars be found here.

Are there any specific courses I need to take my first semester beyond the First Year Seminar?

No, there are no required courses you must take your first semester (or beyond). For more information on Trinity’s distribution requirements, click here
