A college education is one of the most important investments you will ever make.
Here is a breakdown of the undergraduate tuition costs and associated fees for an academic year. Remember, Trinity meets the calculated financial aid need of every student.

Financial aid offers are based on the current cost of attendance for the 2020-2021 academic year. The Financial Aid team will review and update award offers for families who are receiving need-based support and are determined to have additional need as a direct result of updated cost information. We will complete the updates before bills are released for the upcoming fall 2021 semester. We will notify you of any award updates via the Trinity College financial aid portal.
We are committed to making a Trinity education affordable. Please visit our Financial Aid pages for more information.
We want to make sure all of our fees are fully transparent. Here is what you’re paying for:
- General Fee – This recurring fee helps finance the operations of the student center and covers student lab fees, vocational testing, and admission to all Trinity athletic events.
- Student Activity Fee – Trinity has more than 140 student clubs and organizations. The activity fee helps cover the budget for these groups, plus student publications, admission to the Austin Arts Center, and WRTC, the campus radio station.
Visit our Dining Services site (by Chartwells) for more information on meal plans and on-campus dining options.
Every Trinity student is required to have adequate health insurance coverage. We offer a comprehensive student health plan through Aetna Student Health. If you already have health care coverage, you can waive the student health insurance fee by completing a form. More details about the rates and the waiver form are available here.
Trinity operates several international program sites around the world where students receive a Trinity-caliber education. Students are billed a comprehensive fee for their semester away that covers tuition, housing, and additional experiences like study-related excursions and tours. The comprehensive fee differs by program site depending on the cost of housing and whether meals are provided, self-catered, or a combination of each. Students and parents can find out the full fees for all programs and learn what is included in the fees by contacting the Office of Study Away at firstname.lastname@example.org or (860) 297-2005.
