Trip Overview:

August 30: Meet on Trinity’s Campus and organize into groups and get gear assignments, transportation to outdoor sites

September 1-2: hiking, canoeing, climbing, stewardship experiences

September 3: Join with all of the groups for games and cook out then get transported back to Trinity

Sample Day Itinerary:

7:00-8:00 am: wake up!

  • prepare/eat breakfast
  • look over travel plans for the day (destination, mileage, map, etc.)
  • pack up camp

9:00-10:00 am: head out on the trail/climbing/the water/daily activities

  • review direction/map and compass before leaving

12:00/midday: stop for lunch

  • prepare lunch
  • rest, enjoy views, activities, etc.

2:00-5:00 pm: arrive at campsite destination

  • set up area/find spot
  • locate water source
  • play games!

5:00-6:00 pm: prepare dinner

  • camp-craft skills
  • cook and eat dinner
  • clean up from dinner

7:00-8:00 pm: wind down

  • evening bonding activities
  • set up sleeping area (sleeping bags, overhead tarp, etc.)
  • gather gear and properly store food for the night
  • review plans for the next day

8:00-9:00 pm: bedtime!
