Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students,

The Task Force on the Status of Women was created in 2019 by President Joanne Berger-Sweeney to research and make recommendations about policies and procedures on campus that specifically effect women and non-binary members of the Trinity Community.  At the end of the first year, we created this report that can be seen on the webpage of the Office of the President.

At this time we are inviting new members to join the task force.  If you are interested in joining us, we are asking that you please fill out this form.

Please note that we are forming three subcommittees based on the principles that emerged last year, so ask that you indicate on the form which subcommittee(s) you would be interested in joining:

  1. There should be fair and equitable salaries, workload, and benefits for faculty and staff and equitable outcomes for students at Trinity College;
  2. Everyone should feel safe in all spaces on Trinity’s campus; and
  3. Trinity College should support inclusive, family-friendly policies.

Thank you and we would be happy to answer any questions.

Dear Trinity Community,

We realize that these recommendations and their timetables for resolution were assembled during the fall and early spring semester, in pre-Covid- 19 times. Given the uncertainties and challenges facing Trinity the Task Force will review and reassess the timetables when more is known. We will continue to provide oversight and track the progress of the recommendations. Additionally, because the pandemic can raise additional issues-childcare while working from home, equity and fairness regarding potential employment changes- we will extend our reach to monitor them. We welcome your support and assistance as we continue in this work.

Sincerely,

Sarah Raskin
