Cecelia MorelloMajor/Minor:
Psychology and Public Policy & Law

Why did you choose Trinity?
I chose Trinity for its broad liberal arts curriculum which would allow me to explore all my academic interests and small community feel that is always present on campus.

Favorite Class/Professor:
My favorite class at Trinity so far has been Anthropology of Global Health. As someone interested in health policy and psychology, I felt the class covered a lot about how health is interpreted across different cultures, and encouraged me to be more open minded. My favorite professor is Professor Moskowitz in the Public Policy department. She taught one of my first Public Policy classes (Intro to Public Policy) and made me fall in love with the major!

Favorite Co-Curricular Activity:
My favorite co-curricular activities are the Trinity Equestrian Team and Trinity Film Festival! I am one of the captains of the Equestrian Team and the people on it have become like my second family on campus. I am also the Student Director of Trinity Film Festival, which means that I oversee the team of about 12 students who create and plan an undergraduate short film festival every May in Cinestudio right here on campus!

What do you love most about Trinity?
The thing I love the most about Trinity is that all the professors I have interacted with truly just want to see their students succeed, and they will do whatever it takes to help their students get there or feel supported!

What are your goals after you graduate from Trinity?
One of my goals for after Trinity is to work in a hospital doing internal research to create policies that will help nurses and doctors be able to care for their patients better!

Favorite place on campus and/or in Hartford:
My favorite place on campus is probably the main quad. I could sit out there for hours! My favorite place in Hartford has to be Capital Ice Cream. It is one of my favorite places to go during the spring semester when it finally starts feeling warm again!

What’s one thing you wish you knew before coming to college?
One thing I wish I knew before coming to college is that it is ok to take risks and change plans! You are supposed to grow and getting out of your comfort zone is the only way to do that. Having a supportive community has really allowed me to do that here at Trinity.
