February 4, 2022

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

We hope that everyone has had a successful first week of classes. During this remote learning period, we have seen a manageable number of positive cases in our community, and numbers of positive cases are declining.

Starting Monday, February 7, in-person classes will proceed as planned. As a reminder, the Dean of the Faculty’s Office shared teaching guidelines for spring 2022, which includes information for faculty about limited exceptions to in-person learning in cases of exceptional circumstances.

Looking ahead, if case numbers continue to decline during the next week, we hope to return to in-person dining in Mather Hall by Sunday, February 13. We will evaluate testing data over the next week and be in touch with an update. Additionally, as we work to finalize our ongoing remote work program, division leaders will share return to campus requirements for the near term with their employees.

Sincerely,

Joe DiChristina, Vice President for Student Success and Enrollment Management
Jason Rojas, Chief of Staff and Associate Vice President for External Relations
