Statement in Support of Survivors of Sexual and Interpersonal Violence at Trinity College

The Counseling and Wellness Center affirms our commitment to believing and supporting survivors of sexual and interpersonal violence at Trinity, across identity and experience. Your story matters and we will support you and your healing. We denounce those who invalidate survivors who choose not to disclose their experiences. You have a right to decide if and when to share your story. If you choose to disclose, we will help you navigate that process. We will support your decision and offer ideas to increase safety and empowerment in your life. We believe that you should have access to all the information to make an informed choice about disclosure. We pledge to create a safe space for you to make your own decisions.
