Class of 2020 Commencement Celebration – COVID-19 Regulations
The following policies are in place to ensure the Class of 2020 Commencement Celebration and Reunion Weekend 2022 will be safe and healthy for all. Upon completing the Class of 2020 Commencement Celebration registration form, all guests are asked to attest that they understand the following policies.
Vaccination Requirement
The college requires all visitors to campus, including all Class of 2020 Commencement Celebration and Reunion attendees and vendors, to demonstrate proof of vaccination.
- Attendees aged 12 and older must provide proof upon arrival to campus that they have received either one dose of the J&J vaccine or two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine and at least 2 weeks have passed since completing the course of vaccination.
- Attendees under the age of 12 may attend without demonstrating proof of vaccination but may be subject to additional COVID-19 safety precautions, to be announced by the college in advance.
Symptom Self-Monitoring
We ask all attendees to agree to self-monitor for symptoms before and during the weekend and agree to the following:
- Alumni or guests registered to attend will not attend if they develop COVID-19 symptoms.
- If an attendee or their guests become symptomatic or test positive at any time during the event, they will leave campus and follow up with a primary health care provider or seek treatment at a medical facility in the local community.
Masking and Other Policies
The college will determine any additional policies regarding masking, social distancing, or other health and safety precautions based on the conditions closer to the event.
Disclaimers
While these health and safety policies create a safer environment to gather for the Class of 2020 Commencement Celebration and Reunion Weekend, we ask all attendees to understand that COVID-19 is an extremely contagious virus and spreads easily through person-to-person contact and that attendees are taking risks by attending in-person events.
The college continues to monitor developments in the COVID-19 pandemic. Plans for the Class of 2020 Commencement Celebration and Reunion Weekend 2022 remain subject to change based on developments locally, statewide, and nationally, as well as changes in college policy. This website will be updated to reflect any changes to those policies. You can stay up-to-date about the college’s response to COVID-19, including current safety protocols in place at the college, by visiting the college’s advisories website.
