A Message for Women's Leadership Council Members Regarding COVID-19
From WLC Chair, Trish Klestadt '80 P'09'11
In 2010, at the end of a year-long celebration of 40 years of co-education at Trinity College, the Women’s Leadership Council (WLC) was founded by the alumnae trustees of the college to continue to support and strengthen the alumnae network.
From WLC Chair, Trish Klestadt '80 P'09'11
We are alumnae of Trinity College who have a shared goal of optimizing the undergraduate experience of female students while strengthening the connections alumnae have to each other. We do this by providing networking, professional exploration, development opportunities, and social interactions on campus and across the country.
We seek to engage Trinity women by encouraging them to help shape the college’s future and to be responsive to the needs of its female undergraduates.
Participate: WLC members host events and attend meetings and other events in their areas, return to campus to participate in programs for current female students, and are willing to assist alumnae and students by providing guidance for the purposes of networking and career advice.
Give: Each WLC member is also asked to make an annual gift to support the college. Founders give at the Long Walk Societies level and associates support the college at a level that is meaningful to them.
The primary benefit of membership is becoming part of a supportive and accomplished alumnae community at all stages of their lives and careers. Invitations to special WLC events, such as “Chats with the Chair,” and access to the WLC Facebook page are a couple of the benefits all members receive. In addition, founders receive special communications from the college including an invitation to the annual spring business meeting.
Participation in a WLC program, or a willingness to provide advice to other alumnae and students, will add your name to our list of prospective members. Once you also make a gift to the college you will be either a founder or an associate. Membership is a yearly commitment and must be renewed each fund year. To qualify for membership in this fund year your gift needs to be received between July 1, 2019 and June 30, 2020.
