As part of Trinity College’s “Women at the Summit” programming celebrating 50 years of coeducation, former Massachusetts governor Jane Swift ’87 returned to campus for a conversation called “Sororities: Then & Now,” focusing on her experiences in Greek life at the college.
The President’s Convocation marked the official beginning of the 196th academic year at Trinity College. President Joanne Berger-Sweeney noted that the members of the Class of 2023 will graduate during the year of the college’s 200th anniversary.
Several Trinity College students and recent alumni are among the 100 young people from the Hartford area taking part in the Obama Foundation’s Community Leadership Corps (CLC) this summer. Jenna Behan ’19, Kayla Betts ’21, Brian Nance ’16, M’19, and Courtney Roach ’16 have each been working on group projects that address opportunities and challenges in the Hartford community.
