Interfaith Youth Core

Over the years, many members of the Charleston House have traveled to interfaith leadership training conferences hosted by the Interfaith Youth Core, an organization founded by Eboo Patel. In the fall of 2013, the incoming class of first-years read Patel’s book Acts of Faith and he spoke at Orientation. Through the IFYC, the Charleston House has identified its mission as inviting people of all religions and worldviews into shared conversation where every voice is welcome and through which we engage in relationship with one another, identify common values, and work together toward the common good. These principles are articulated through the IFYC’s framework of Voice, Engage, Act.
