Academic Accommodations

To apply, please visit this link and click on “Submit your application to receive accommodation from the Student Accessibility Resource Center.”  Please note the deadline to request academic accommodations for incoming students is May 31.  This deadline coordinates with the required timed math placement exam to allow for extended time adjustments.  For spring semester transfer students, please apply by January 1st.  For current students, academic accommodations can be requested at any time.  Please allow for 10 business days for processing.  In addition, if approved,  students must allow adequate time for professor notification and implementation. Once an application is submitted the applicant will be asked to upload supporting documentation. Staff at the Counseling and Wellness Center, as well as the Health Center, will evaluate supporting educational or medical documentation submitted with the request for accommodations and identify the appropriate accommodations. After documentation is reviewed, a representative from the SARC office will contact the applicant and update them on their application.

Student Life Accommodations (including Housing and Meal Plan):

In addition to Academic accommodations, students are able to apply for Student Life accommodations. The areas addressed by these accommodations can be housing, parking, meal plan changes, and academic, if other than learning disabilities. Please visit this link and click on “Submit your application to receive accommodation from the Student Accessibility Resource Center.”  Please note the deadline for housing accommodations for returning students for the fall semester is March 15.  For spring semester transfer students, please apply by January 1st, or preferably earlier, since some housing accommodations are limited and based on availability.  The deadline for new incoming students is May 31. As with Academic accommodations, Student Life accommodation requests require supporting documentation that is then reviewed by the Counseling and Wellness Center and/or Health Center. In addition, staff from Chartwells will be consulted for meal plan related accommodations.
