Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to share information on the administration of the COVID 19 vaccine and availability for Trinity employees.

We have established a partnership with Hartford HealthCare to provide the vaccine to all full and part time employees who wish to receive it, when the Trinity Community is deemed eligible per CT DPH guidelines. At this time we strongly recommend, but do not require that employees receive the vaccine when they are eligible.

While Trinity as a community is not yet eligible for vaccine administration, some employees may be eligible now if they meet certain criteria, and others may become eligible before the program through Trinity is available.

If you are eligible now per CT DPH guidelines https://portal.ct.gov/Coronavirus/Covid-19-Knowledge-Base/COVID-19-Vaccine, such as all people over 75, we advise that you obtain a vaccine now.

To register for the vaccine if you are eligible now, or if you are not yet eligible but wish to receive the vaccine as soon as you are, please visit Hartford HealthCare’s website, https://hartfordhealthcare.org/health-wellness/covid-vaccine or call 833.943.5721 on weekdays. Those not yet eligible but registered will be alerted by the website to make an appointment as CT DPH approves new eligibility categories for which you qualify. Alternatively you may register through the State of CT site by completing an online form at ct.gov/covidvaccine that allows individuals to schedule an appointment through the web-based Vaccine Administration Management System (VAMS).

Trinity will send additional information about our vaccine plans when distribution is open to our community.

Federal government distribution is based on state of residence, so employees who reside in a state other than Connecticut are not eligible to receive the vaccine in Connecticut. If this applies to you and you wish to receive the vaccine, we advise you to check your state’s eligibility and determine how you can obtain a shot in your home state, irrespective of Trinity’s timeframe.

Vaccines provided to full and part time Trinity employees will be free of charge to employees. Any fees associated with the vaccine will be paid by insurance or by the state, so there will be no expense for recipients.

Affiliate partners will receive information about vaccination plans through their company’s management but are also welcome to use the website above.

We will continue to communicate as pertinent new information becomes available.

Thank you,

Michelle Cabral
