December 22, 2021

Dear Students and Families,

We hope this finds you well, anticipating a well-deserved holiday break. I am writing to share with you an important change to the academic calendar for the spring semester.

Rather than begin on Thursday, January 27, as anticipated, the spring semester will now start on Monday, January 31. Our decision to delay the start is a proactive response to pandemic-related developments. In taking this step, we are prioritizing, as always, the health and safety of our campus and in-person student learning.

Please note that this change will require removing Trinity Days, scheduled for February 24 and 25. The regular class meeting schedule will instead be in effect for these two days. Spring Break, however, will not be impacted by the change.

The COVID Steering Committee will write in early January to share testing protocols and other steps for returning to campus. In the meantime, please accept my best wishes for the holidays and New Year.

Sincerely yours,

Sonia Cardenas
Dean of the Faculty and Vice President for Academic Affairs
