Trinity College Bicentennial Kicks Off with Celebration and Fireworks on Main Quad

A historical yearlong celebration of Trinity College’s 200th anniversary officially got underway on Friday, May 5, 2023, with the Bicentennial Kickoff on the Main Quad. It marked the start of a yearlong schedule of events and programs designed to connect the entire Trinity community with the College’s past, present, and future.

First Summit Innovation Challenge Promotes Entrepreneurship among Trinity Students

Trinity College recently hosted the first Summit Innovation Challenge to promote entrepreneurship on campus through a “Shark Tank”-like competition that featured students pitching their inventions. Trisha Mohan ’26 won first place with her invention, the CandleCover, and Jade Mellitz ’26 won second place with Sandy Soles.

New Coloring Book Features Trinity Student Artwork and Archival Treasures

This year’s “Color Our Collections” coloring book is giving the Trinity community a way to explore the library’s archival treasures through interactive art. #ColorOurCollections is a national movement to connect people with library collections through coloring.

Hartford Medical Society Collection Returns to Trinity College’s Watkinson Library

The Hartford Medical Society’s historical collection of books, journals, and artifacts dating back to the 1500s has returned to the Watkinson Library at Trinity College, having previously been housed there from 1893 to 1898. The collection includes more than 30,000 volumes, 100 archival collections, and 550 medical instruments.
