A recent workshop introduced Trinity’s 3D printing technology to students in a computer science course that emphasizes design thinking. Located in the Raether Library and Information Technology Center, 3D printing services are available to the College community for both academic and personal use.

An art installation by Pablo Delano, Charles A. Dana Professor of Fine Arts, is among works by international artists to be included in the 60th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, opening to the public on April 20.

To explore just how intelligent the latest “artificial intelligence” chatbots really are, a Trinity faculty member challenged students in a new January Term course to craft essays using only synthetically generated text.

A new silver-topped staff donated to the Trinity College Chapel will usher in the annual Christmas Festival of Lessons and Carols this year. Alumnus Brendan W. Clark ’21 commissioned the ornate verge, which is similar to a mace in appearance and function, to commemorate the College’s Bicentennial and out of fondness for the Chapel.

A group of Trinity College students recently attended a Connecticut Forum discussion with documentary filmmaker Ken Burns. “I was motivated to learn more about documentaries, knowing from Burns that they are no less creative than scripted films,” writes Vy Duong ’26, a double-major in political science and film studies.

This semester marks the first time that Trinity faculty members are teaching college classes at Hartford Correctional Center, the city’s jail. The new program adds to Trinity’s Prison Education Project (TPEP), which has made courses available to individuals incarcerated at York Correctional Institution for more than a decade.

A multi-generational cast of Trinity College students and faculty, local high school students, and professional artists will perform on October 13 and 14, in celebration of Trinity’s 200th anniversary.

Trinity College's 634 new students arrived on campus under leaden skies on August 25. In preparation for the forecasted rain, some toted their belongings in garbage bags while others bundled boxes and mini refrigerators into wheeled bins and into their residence halls.

Trinity College marked the beginning of its 200th academic year, as President Joanne Berger-Sweeney welcomed the Class of 2027 as the first class to matriculate in the College’s third century.
