Learning Goals

The learning goals of the Jewish Studies Program are easily derived from the construction of our major requirements. We expect our majors:

1. To become critical readers of Jewish texts & scholarship about them
2. To attain competency in Hebrew
3. To acquire knowledge of the diverse components of the global Jewish heritage
4. To develop the ability to think critically and work creatively across the fields dedicated to the study of Jewish civilization
