Health Professions Advising Committee
Welcome to Trinity College and the Health Professions Advising Committee (HPAC). We want to help you! The HPAC is a group of very committed members of the faculty and staff at Trinity. Our duties are centered around helping students interested in pursuing a career in the health professions (most notably medical, dental, and allied health programs). Upon registering with the HPAC, students are assigned a member of the committee to serve as an informal advisor for the health professions (in addition to the student’s official academic advisor).
What the HPAC does:
- We SUPPORT you! We meet as often or as infrequently as you’d like. We’ll talk about courses, extracurricular activities, and about who you are as a person and how that fits into the health professions.
- We advise and assist ANY student interested in the health professions (no major or GPA requirements)
- Attend and organize information sessions on various aspects of the health professions
- Collect and distribute information about extracurricular opportunities to students
- Draft Letters of Evaluation for student and alumni applications
- Supports students/alums as they work through the application process
- We support alums throughout their journey to the health professions – whether it has been a short time or a long time since you graduated, reach out to us!
