New Faculty Seminar

New tenure-track faculty and long-term contract faculty participate in
a program designed to help facilitate their transition to life at Trinity
College. A centerpiece of the center’s ongoing efforts with new faculty, the
seminars cover a wide range of topics and provide a space for new faculty
to share ideas and concerns about teaching.

Topics at the seminar are determined with input from the new faculty and therefore vary by year. They commonly include the following:

-Tips for Efficiently Preparing for Class 

-Mid-Semester Check-In 

-Effective and Efficient Grading 

-Meta-cognition and a Reflection on the Semester 

– Preparing for Reappointment and Quadrennial Leave
