Cynthia Mena, the new program manager at Trinfo.Cafe.Trinfo.Cafe opened October 1st and closed November 24th due to pandemic conditions. If you stopped by, you may have seen a new face in the office. Cynthia Mena began working as Trinfo’s new program manager November 4th. Cynthia joins us from the Office of Community Engagement at Central Connecticut State University where she worked as the graduate intern. Welcome Cynthia!

Students and staff alike have worked hard to safely reopen Trinfo.

The space was open Monday-Friday 9 am to 5 pm. Patrons continued to use computers with internet access and select from a range of document services including printing (in black and white or color), faxing, copying, and scanning (in color). Trinfo’s physical space changed considerably, including a 50% reduction in capacity of people and available computers, along with stickers on the floors and digital signage on the walls indicating new rules and expectations for patrons. As pandemic conditions allow, Trinfo is planning a phased restoration of other Trinfo services – the Help Desk and self-paced computer literacy workshops; student-led events; and after-school and summer youth tech programming with community partners.

The community garden remained open all season, providing growing opportunities for community members and Trinity faculty and staff. The garden is now being put to rest for the winter.

We hope to restore service at Trinfo as pandemic conditions allow and are grateful to have had the chance to serve the public this fall.
