Other Notes

Food N Stuff is Trinity’s student food and hygiene product pantry available to all students for free. It is located on the lower level of Mather next to the main stairwell. Food N Stuff is a collaboration between the Sustainability Office, the Office of Community Service and Civic Engagement, the Bantam Network, P.R.I.D.E., WGRAC, and the Office of International Students and Scholars.

A surprising amount of food insecurity exists on campus, especially during academic breaks. We invite Reunion attendees to help maintain Food N Stuff by bringing unopened, nonperishable foods and hygiene products for the pantry to the collection box at Reunion Headquarters in the Cave.

The most requested items include:

  • Cereal
  • Pasta and sauce
  • Rice
  • Trail mix
  • Canned fruits
  • Canned meats (Spam, tuna, etc.)
  • Cooking oil sprays (olive, avocado, etc.)
  • Multicultural foods
  • Gluten-free foods
  • Beverages

The name tags used throughout the weekend aren’t just to refresh your memory of the names of classmates! Look for alumni donning special ribbons signifying milestone Reunion celebrations, membership in giving societies, volunteer work, and more. Ribbons may include:

  • 25th Reunion
  • 50th Reunion
  • Board of Fellows Member
  • Board of Trustees Member
  • Class Agent
  • Elms Society Member
  • First Coeducational Class
  • Legacy Family
  • Long Walk Societies Member
  • Loyal Bantam
  • Marjorie Butcher Circle Member
  • Reunion Committee Member
  • Trinity College Alumni Association Executive Committee Member
  • Wall of Honor Member
  • Women’s Leadership Council Member

Trinity College’s strategic plan calls for us to build on Trinity’s historic past to ensure a vibrant, sustainable future. As part of that goal, the Office of Alumni Relations collaborated with the College’s sustainability coordinator to incorporate aspects of the College’s Sustainability Action Plan throughout the weekend. Some examples of sustainability-conscious elements of the weekend include but are not limited to:

  • Providing water bottle filling stations around campus
  • Increasing plant-based food options
  • Reducing food waste
  • Reducing use of plastic plates, cups, and cutlery
  • Creating campus signage that is evergreen and may be used at future events
  • Offering composting options for biodegradable waste on the Main Quad
  • Reusing or composting plant and floral decor
