Trinity College requires all international applicants to demonstrate English language proficiency by submitting one of the following exams:
Trinity does not have minimum score cutoff requirements for any exam. We use a holistic review process which includes other materials such as essays, writing samples, and interviews to evaluate English proficiency. Applicants whose test scores fall outside the ranges below are still encouraged to apply. We strongly encourage all applicants to interview to share more about themselves and further demonstrate their English proficiency.
Applicants are required to submit official English test scores. Duolingo English Test results are only accepted directly from Duolingo. IELTS or TOEFL results may be sent from the testing agency or verified and sent directly to the Admissions Office by a school official. The code to send TOEFL scores to Trinity College is 3899.
|Duolingo English Test||120|
|TOEFL iBT or Paper-Delivered Test||100 (recommended subsection scores of 25)|

- You will have completed four years of study (including your current year) at a high school where English is the primary language of instruction

If approved, your application status will be updated automatically. International applicants must submit either English proficiency exam scores or request a waiver by their application deadline.
