First Students in New ‘January Start’ Program at Trinity Spend Two Weeks on Orientation, Academics, and Outings

The first participants in Trinity College’s new January entry program have spent the past two weeks learning all about the campus and its surrounding communities in anticipation of the start of the spring semester—their first as Bantams. The two-week January orientation was designed to provide both an informative, enjoyable experience and a seamless transition into college. On campus, the students explored the Watkinson Library, had a tour of Trinity’s new downtown location at Constitution Plaza, and met with representatives from the Office of Study Away, the Writing Center, and many other offices. Off campus, students were introduced to several Hartford restaurants, visited local cultural highlights including the Wadsworth Atheneum and the Mark Twain House, and took in performances at the Bushnell and Infinity Hall.
