Marketing

Our office works closely with Enrollment & Student Success to develop and execute its recruitment marketing strategies and to design and create materials for Admissions, Financial Aid, Career and Life Design, and Student Success. We also provide marketing consultation—about digital marketing, advertising, and more—and are responsible for an overall marketing strategy for the college. Please contact Katelyn Rice, director of marketing, for more information on marketing.

Trinity’s Brand and Visual Identity

Trinity’s brand is an articulation of what defines the quintessential experience of what it means to be a Bantam. It draws upon perceptions shaped by the stories and associations in the minds of our community and the world at large. It reflects the experiences of the entire Trinity community: students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, prospective students, and partners.

When expressed well, our brand communicates distinct emotional connections through consistent language and visual design in a way that is both authentic and moves us toward our greatest aspirations. Learn more about Trinity College’s brand.

The college’s visual identity system helps us express the Trinity brand consistently and clearly. Its elements include the official college word mark (logo), spirit marks, typography, and our colors: Trinity Blue and Trinity Gold. To a lesser extent, the college’s seal is a visual identity element, though its use is reserved for more formal and official documents, such as diplomas, and isn’t recommended for use in marketing or promotional materials.

In 2022 we revised the college’s visual identity, which you can find here. This refreshed visual identity system serves to better unify Trinity’s brand within the college’s strategic vision. This system also includes brand standards for Trinity athletics. If you have questions about visual identity or anything related to Trinity’s brand expression, please contact us.

Design Consultation and Services

The Office of Communications and Marketing offers design consultation and services to academic departments and administrative offices throughout the college, and our team meets design needs for major college initiatives and events. A sizable piece of our creative services portfolio supports the Enrollment & Student Success and Advancement divisions in their robust communications plans for prospective students and families and for alumni, parents, and friends of the college.

We do our best to meet the college’s graphic design needs in-house, and when that’s not possible, we turn to a network of freelance designers and vendors with whom we can partner to meet your goals. In those cases, we’ll get your OK in advance for such outside services to be billed to you, and we’ll work closely with the outside provider to ensure adherence to our design standards and visual identity guidelines. Please be in touch with us for more on our design work.

We also manage print production of the work we design, and we can offer guidance on printing options to meet your needs. More information about print services available to the college, including poster printing and volume printing, is available here.

Photography

The Office of Communications and Marketing employs an in-house photographer and maintains relationships with area freelancers to help meet the needs of the College.

Trinity hosts a public photography library through Photoshelter, which can be accessed here. Archived photos can be viewed through the college Flickr account.

Photography services are available to campus partners for a nominal fee and based on photographer availability. If the in-house photographer is unavailable, we can provide advice and recommendations on hiring a freelancer. Please contact us for more information or use this form to make a coverage request.
