The College introduced experiential certificates in 2021 as part of the new Trinity Plus Curriculum. With 30 experiential certificates now offered, students have the opportunity to pursue deeper, more hands-on studies in highly focused areas as they prepare for their next steps after Trinity
After studying in South Korea as a Trinity undergraduate, Jeffery Huang ’22 is preparing to return to that country early next year—this time, supported by a prestigious Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Award.
Thanks to a prestigious Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Award, Olivia Zeiner-Morrish ’22 will travel this month to Cambodia, where she will spend nearly a year in local classrooms, helping to teach the English language while serving as a cultural ambassador for the U.S.

A passion for community advocacy led Abby Nick ’24 to serve as the “Get Out the Vote” coordinator for the Hartford Votes Coalition leading up to the 2023 municipal election on November 7. Nick has been working since May for the nonpartisan organization with a mission to increase voter engagement in the city of Hartford.

Among the 10 Trinity College faculty members who have been hired to new tenure-track appointments this year are three Trinity alumni and four assistant professors who have previously been on the Trinity faculty in other roles.
Trinity College marked the beginning of its 200th academic year, as President Joanne Berger-Sweeney welcomed the Class of 2027 as the first class to matriculate in the College’s third century.
