One of the major tasks for Greenberg Fellows is researching a specific project on the role of religion in public life and sharing a public-facing component of the research at the end of the academic year. Check out some previous projects below.

Select Greenberg Fellows Projects

Through collaboration with Greater Hartford Interfaith Action Alliance (GHIAA), Greenberg Fellows Surya Rai ’25 and Grace Sullivan ’25 researched the intersections between interfaith grassroots organizing, environmental injustices in Connecticut, and different religious groups responses to the environmentalism. They presented their work on May 6, 2025 to the Asylum Hill Congregational Church’s Climate Team.

For her project, Anna Szesnat ’26 created a beautiful digital archive of Religion in the News, the Greenberg Center’s longtime publication under director emeritus Mark Silk. Check it out here: https://religioninthenewsdigitalarchive.wordpress.com/about/

Henry Graf ’26 spent time with the Rev. Dr. Eric Hearst and the First Church of Christ (Center Church) History Team to visit archives and research any documents relating to Prince Sori’s time in Connecticut. Henry also presented this work at the “Walking in the Footsteps of the Prince” event at Center Church on May 13, 2026. You can see his presentation here.
