Meet the Team

 

Amy Myerson Senior Director of the Grants Office 860-297-2339 Amy provides oversight of all submissions and projects that move through the Grants Office. She works closely with senior leadership in the Dean of Faculty’s Office and the President’s Office to ensure all internal and external initiatives at Trinity are supported. Amy supports institutional and faculty-led grants. She joined Trinity in 2021 and possesses over 20 years of grants experience.

Terri Williams Director of Faculty Grants and Sponsored Research 860 297-4137 Terri helps faculty to get external funding in support of their research. This includes finding funding, proposal preparation, and post-award activities. She joined the Grants Office in 2023 and has many years of grant writing experience.

Gabby Nelson Director of Fellowships 860-297-2629 Gabby is Director of Fellowships at Trinity College, serving as a resource and advisor for students and alumni seeking competitive fellowships. Gabby also provides pre- and post-award support on select institutional grant proposals and awards. Gabby previously spent eight years working in various roles with the Center for Urban and Global Studies and Center for Hartford Engagement and Research at Trinity. She has worked with students on global and community-engaged research projects, taught in the Community Action Gateway program, and has worked, volunteered, or conducted research with several fair housing, food justice, and urban farming non-profits in the Hartford area.

Sheila Toto Assistant Director of Grants 860-297-2583 Sheila provides pre- and post-award support on institutional proposals, monitors compliance, and ensures our grants database is current. She joined the Grants Office in 2025 and has many years of experience serving as a program officer at a community foundation.
