The economics department held its annual senior thesis presentation event on Friday, April 30th . Five economics seniors wrote a thesis this year: Laiba Bahrawar, Olivia Barden, Divyansh Gaur, Anh Pham, and Hanjatiana Nirina Randrianarisoa.

The topics ranged from the macroeconomic ramifications of IMF loans to the microeconomics of health services in the time of COVID-19. The theses also delved into in the fields of international trade, finance, and behavioral economics. The event started with Zoom presentations of the five theses and Q&A from faculty. Later, the department organized a small, socially-distant gathering with to-go meals and drinks. Each student was offered a cake with their name on it to enjoy with their family and friends!
