What is your current position at Trinity, and what are you most looking forward to in this role?

I’ve stepped into a new role as Program Manager at Trinfo. I am passionate about creating powerful community impact. I want to continue building opportunities for Trinity College students and Hartford community members to connect and collaborate to make a powerful impact in Hartford.

What past connection do you have with Trinity?

I was born and raised in Hartford, CT. I grew up right up the street on Park Street, and as a youth, I dreamed of attending this school. That dream came true in 2022 when I received a full ride through the IDP program. Trinity College gave me an opportunity to push for my dreams, and through this position, I hope I can give back to Trinity College and my community in Hartford.

What made you want to take this role?

I was raised in a low-income neighborhood where people often talked about the changes that needed to be made, but rarely took action. I wanted to be part of the solution by bringing new opportunities for collaboration between Trinity College and the Hartford community. Taking on this role allows me to help bridge Trinity College and the Hartford community, creating a genuine partnership that empowers and uplifts everyone involved.

What are your interests and passions?

My passions as a community leader include feeding individuals experiencing homelessness in my free time and volunteering to mentor youth involved in gangs in Hartford and Waterbury through The Connection programs and CRT (Community Renewal Team). My interests and hobbies include spending time with my family, giving back to my community, and fishing.

What is your favorite place in Hartford?

My favorite part of Hartford is the neighborhoods where I was raised, vibrant, diverse communities that have been some of the most culturally impactful places in my life. Places like the original Mi Casa program on Oak Street, as well as Park Street and Albany Avenue, hold deep meaning for me.
