Community Assistant (CA)
Welcome to the Community Assistant application for the 26-27 Academic Year!
The Community Assistant role operates within the Bantam Network (Housing & Residence Life) office, specifically collaborating with Residential Learning Coordinators (RLCs) to plan, promote, and execute exciting monthly programs for our residential students. Reporting to an RLC, the Community Assistant will focus on creating a variety of communal events open to everyone, aimed at fostering community engagement in line with our residential learning objectives. The program calendar will be developed in advance through a collaborative effort with the Bantam Network. We are particularly eager to hear from students who are passionate about building community, connecting with our student body, faculty, and staff, and supporting an inclusive approach to programming.

- Participating in bi-weekly meetings with your RLC to work together on planning, marketing, and executing a variety of programs throughout the academic year (at least one program each month).
- Collaborating with the Assistant Director on assisting in programming/ marketing implementation and related administrative tasks.
- Actively participating and engaging at these monthly events.
- Recording attendance at these programs.
- Evaluating programs.
- Determining budgets for programs.
Please note that attendance is mandatory for scheduled meetings, which will be planned in advance to ensure your awareness.

Renumeration:
Hourly rate of $17
There is a minimum of 5 hours per week during term time.

Position End Date: April 30, 2027
Position requirements
Good Academic Standing: Community Assistants must maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative G.P.A to remain in the position.
Good Social Standing: Community Assistants must maintain “good conduct standing” with Trinity College.
Community Assistants are required to notify their supervisor prior to accepting the position if they currently have or intend to take on more than 10 hours per week in external leadership or membership roles. Additionally, international students must adhere to regulations concerning their supplementary employment while on a student visa.
