Summer Housing at Trinity College is thoughtfully allocated to foster a vibrant community for students who are either enrolled in classes or employed at the institution. Please review our eligibility requirements below before applying for Trinity College Summer Housing.
Summer Housing Information
To qualify for summer housing, you must be returning to and enrolled in fall classes at Trinity College, and at least one of the following criteria must be met:
- Enrolled in an in-person class(es) for summer session I or summer session II
- Participating in a summer research program at Trinity College
- Working as a summer term employee at Trinity College
- Participating in a summer internship in the Hartford area (students currently enrolled at Trinity College)
Please be aware that proof of class enrollment, research, or Trinity employment/internship must be submitted to the housing team to support your application for summer housing. Students who do not meet the eligibility criteria outlined above should refrain from applying for summer housing.
If you are not a currently enrolled student at Trinity College, you are ineligible for summer housing. Please do not submit an application, as it will not be considered. This policy also applies to graduated seniors.
- The weekly cost for summer housing in 2026 is set at $185.
- Important Note: Students conducting research through the Dean of Faculty Office will be exempt from this fee. All other students should refer to the payment details outlined below.
- There are four payment options for summer housing:
- Summer Research Program: Most grants cover only 10 weeks; please verify your eligible weeks with your faculty supervisor.
- Extended Stay: Additional weeks will be charged to your student account and require approval.
- Department/Office Payment: If your department or office employs you and has agreed to cover your summer housing, your employer must complete a payment request form.
- Please Keep in Mind:
- Employers may not cover housing for the entire duration of your employment; confirm your eligible weeks with them.
- Additional weeks will incur charges to your student account and need approval.
- If your supervisor does not submit a payment request form, you will be responsible for the summer housing fees.
- Please Keep in Mind:
- Self-Pay Option: Payments for summer housing are processed through the Office of Student Accounts, not the Office of the Bantam Network.
- If you choose full or partial self-payment, please monitor your student account throughout May and June.
- Once the charge is posted, payment in full is required.
- Returned payments due to insufficient funds may jeopardize your application.
- You will have five business days from the notification of insufficient payment to submit another payment to the Office of Student Accounts.
- Failure to make a payment will result in the cancellation of your summer housing assignment.
- For any inquiries regarding billing or this process, please reach out to the Office of Student Accounts at [email protected] or call (860) 297-2028.
- Combination of Payment Options: Please review the notes for each category.
