Additional Sick Time Benefit

Dear Administrative Staff,

In accord with the college’s guiding principle to “be as flexible as we can in meeting…”[the] individual needs of [administrative staff] as we continue operations: during this time, Trinity is adding 21 days to the sick time balance for all benefit eligible administrative staff employees, effective Monday, March 16, 2020. These days are permanent and will not expire.

The time can be used on a day when the college is open and the benefit eligible staff employee is absent and not working due to medical or family related emergencies or circumstances.

Benefit eligible staff employees will record the absences using the sick pay code (non-exempt employees use SPS; exempt employees us SPA).

Should the college determine that it will close, benefit eligible staff employees will be paid for their regularly scheduled hours of work (similar to a declared snow day).

We are implementing the additional time to ensure your health and safety as well as the health and safety of the entire Trinity community. Please don’t hesitate to take advantage of the benefit during this time of crisis.

We will continue to asses this decision and adapt as circumstances and conditions evolve.
