Joe GrossJoe Gross serves as managing director and chief operating officer of BNY Mellon Corporate Trust, one of the world’s largest providers of trust, custody, and agency services for debt issuers. He sits on BNY Mellon’s Managing Director Promotion Committee and the COO Roundtable, which works closely with leaders across the organization. Gross previously held various roles at BNY Mellon Investment Management, including COO and CAO, and before that served as a vice president at RBC Capital Markets and Morgan Stanley’s Fixed Income Division. He began his career at American Express in marketing and sales positions. Gross was named a 2022 CUP Finance Catalyst by the Council of Urban Professionals in recognition of his professional accomplishments and commitment to community.

Gross holds a B.A. in economics from Trinity and an M.B.A. in finance from Columbia Business School. As an alumnus, he serves as the immediate past president of the Trinity College Alumni Association (TCAA). Gross previously served as president of the TCAA and on the Board of Fellows and has volunteered his time with the Career and Life Design Center.

Gross lives in the New York City area. His daughter Jasmine Owarish-Gross was a member of the Trinity Class of 2012.
