Trinity College’s Human Rights Studies, the first human rights program at a liberal arts college in the United States, is committed to excellence in the study and practice of human rights. The program seeks to foster critical debate about human rights problems, inter-disciplinary dialogue, and conversations that bridge the divide between local and global human rights concerns.

Assistant Professor of Language and Culture Studies and Human Rights Studies Diana Aldrete was awarded an American Postdoctoral Research Leave Fellowship Program grant from the American Association of University Women to support the completion of her first book.
