Damian W. Wilmot ’97 new trustee

Damian W. Wilmot is a seasoned public company executive, board director, and attorney with more than two decades of leadership experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceuticals industries. He most recently served as executive vice president and chief legal officer of BridgeBio Pharma, a global commercial-stage biotechnology company focused on developing innovative therapies for genetic diseases. In that role, he led the company’s legal, corporate governance, ethics and compliance, and risk management functions. Previously, he served as senior vice president and chief risk and compliance officer of Vertex Pharmaceuticals. Before that, Wilmot worked as the chief litigation counsel for another global pharmaceutical company, as a litigation partner with Goodwin Procter LLP, and as an assistant U.S. attorney in the District of Massachusetts. He began his legal career as a judicial law clerk for Justice Christine S. Vertefeuille ’72 on the State of Connecticut Supreme Court.

Wilmot earned a B.A. in American studies from Trinity and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. He serves on the boards of PBF Energy and Fidelity Charitable. Wilmot also was a founding director and the inaugural board chair of the New Commonwealth Racial Equity and Social Justice Fund, and he previously served on the boards of HarborOne Bancorp, the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, and the Boys & Girls Club of Boston. He also served as a commissioner, by gubernatorial appointment, of the Massachusetts Judicial Nominating Commission.

Wilmot and his wife, Yndia S. Lorick-Wilmot ’99, Ph.D., have two children, Justin ’25 and Sydney, and are residents of Boston, Massachusetts.
