L. Peter Lawrence, who earned a B.A. in psychology from Trinity and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, has more than three decades of experience in private capital management. He is a co-founding partner of FLAG Capital Management and co-head of its U.S. venture capital strategy. FLAG was acquired by Aberdeen Asset Management in 2015, and Lawrence remains a strategic director in its Alternatives Group.

A member of the board since 2009, Lawrence also has served on the Board of Fellows and as president of the National Alumni Association Executive Committee. He and his wife, Susan Upton Lawrence P’04, had their names inscribed on the Wall of Honor in 2009. He is currently the Governance Committee Chair and a member of the Executive and Planning Committee and the Investment Subcommittee.

The Lawrences have three children, including John Lawrence ’04, and reside in New York City.
